Caterpillar's Environmental Health and Safety internships are focused on building technical competencies within the areas of environmental affairs, industrial hygiene and safety.

This is a 15-30 hour per week assignment during the school year, and 40 hours in the Summer months.

Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility as this is a year round internship.

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs:Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Management, Safety Sciences, Safety Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Safety or other Environmental Health and Safety related degree

  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)

  • Expected graduation date December 2018 or beyond.

  • If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at 4-year university

  • Must live within a 50 mile radius to work location for duration of internship, and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience

  • Previous internship in an EHS role

  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills
