Parkview Health Non-Clinical Intern in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summary- This Parkview Summer Internship position will provide the student an opportunity to engage in experiential learning in the Parkview Foundation Marketing Department. The intern will be involved with hands-on projects that will help the Foundation share its mission. The intern will have direct contact with all community hospital foundation’s as well, and will be able to apply their academic training in a real-world setting. They will also learn about philanthropy and its role in the community and how it supports the vision and mission of Parkview Health. The intern will leave with a portfolio of work that will be a great resource as they seek to begin their career. Projects include: Foundation Stories – Write donor, patient and coworker stories that feature how the community supports Parkview Health through its generous gifts. Video Production – Convert selected stories into videos that can be used on the website and social media.

Program timeframe and requirements- The Parkview Summer Internship Program will begin on May 28, 2019 - August 2, 2019. Qualified students must be a sophomore or junior enrolled in an English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Communication or Public Relations or related program and available to work 40 hours a week during the program duration. Additional qualifications include: Command of English grammar and written communication, AP or MLA style guidelines, good interpersonal skills, enjoys meeting and interviewing people. Basic understanding of photography and video/multimedia production.

Must be a current high school student undergraduate college student or graduate college student.
