Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Talent Management and Development department is seeking a Leadership and Professional Development Intern. The position will be based out of Falls Church, VA and report to the Director of Leadership and Professional Development. The selected intern will assist in developing leaders at all levels of the organization. This internship will offer exposure to a variety of leadership development and assessment activities, ranging from instructional design to facilitation and project management.

Start date: June-August (10 weeks)


Basic Qualifications:

  • Rising senior pursuing Bachelors degree in psychology, human resources, business or related discipline or first- or second-year student pursuing Masters Degree

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated initiative

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Familiarity with social media and virtual technology

  • Project management skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite – proficiency in PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other team members

  • Available to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher

  • Ability to apply instructional design methodology and adult learning theory to develop courses

  • Versed in learning evaluation and assessment methods

  • Familiarity with virtual, instructor-led classroom and web-based, on-demand training technology

  • Instructor-led course experience

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint

  • Graphics expertise
