We’re seeking a Global Social Media Content Intern, based in our Englewood, Colorado office (global headquarters) .In this role, you willactively support the global strategy and execution of social media content for WU and the Global Social Media team. Our team is one of the leading social teams in financial services, we are a passionate group who values the connection that we have built with our customers. You will work closely with the global and country-level marketers, as well as communications, social care, operations, and development teams, to build and deploy social media content that humanize the WU brand, and build meaningful connections among our customers, across countries and generations; think transcultural anthropologist. The ideal candidate will be a graduating student in Marketing, Communications, Media or Business Administration and looking for their first full time role upon completion of the internship.

  • Participate in the development of social media content creation and campaigns supporting WU social media channels

  • Participate in the social content publishing across various social media platforms, helping to ensure maximum channel integration and effectiveness across monthly publishing calendars

  • Successfully manage social content activation and outreach to optimize for the specific social channels (commenting, hashtags, linking, tagging, creative, content formats, timing, boosting, etc.) through strong collaboration with WU Global Social team and agency partners

  • Report on the performance of content and campaigns including developing insights and recommendations to be constantly innovating and optimizing to increase engagement and effectiveness

  • Partner with various internal teams to forward the use of social media throughout the organization

What you will need to succeed:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in creation of social media content, with experience applying this knowledge successfully across multiple social media channels

  • Deep understanding of popular social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, G+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, WordPress or Medium

  • Background in creating and publishing both written and visual presentations across a range of media/formats

  • Basic Power Point, Word and Excel skills required

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to think and respond quickly while maintaining attention to detail

  • Positive attitude and willing to learn

About You:

  • You are passionate about social media and proactive on most popular social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • You are a champion of customer-centric brand communications

  • You are comfortable and productive with a high degree of individual work autonomy with skill at juggling multiple priorities and a constant focus on delivery

  • Creative thinker, you bring the ideas!

What will make you stand out:

  • Ability to establish strong relationships with a diverse group of both internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key goals

  • Highly desired – Content Creation, Photo editing or video production or editing skills

  • Highly desired – Experience with social publishing and engagement tools: Spredfast, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck or similar

  • Fluent in English language and second language is highly desirable
