By combining best in class sales skills with rich data science, you will empower advertisers around the world to perform and reach their maximum potential through paid search engine marketing (SEM) on our high-growth search engine, Bing, along with new ad products such as native and product ads.

As an ISR, you will be responsible for obsessing over Microsoft’s customers and prospects to deliver a world-class customer engagement experience. You will meet the capabilities of a true modern, digital seller: not only flexing sales muscles, but bringing marketing and industry skill sets to bear as well through identifying, prioritizing and developing incoming prospects into high quality customers that enable Microsoft’s transition to a mobile-first and cloud first organisation:
Communicate effectively and leave a great impression as the first point of contact for customers
Enthusiastically tell the Microsoft and Microsoft Advertising story/value prop to customers and develop an understanding of customers’ advertising needs and business needs
As value-based seller and trusted marketing advisor, address customer needs and objectives with Bing Ads solutions, leveraging advanced data science and analytical tools to create compelling and tailored customer insights
Drive revenue and share of wallet to support the growth of the Bing Ads marketplace
Identify opportunities to opt clients into native and Bing shopping opportunities
Perform account analysis to evaluate consultation opportunities with additional solutions partners
Maximize up-sell and cross-sell deals collaborating with the virtual sales and partner team (based on availability) to present customers the Microsoft ‘cloud’ value proposition, for competitive advantage and new solutions, which aligns to the customer’s business objectives and IT initiatives
Meet/exceed monthly and quarterly targets per forecast
Deliver impactful on-boarding activities to ensure customers are optimized for success in the auction resulting in longer term customer tenure in the Bing Ads marketplace
Support a warm hand-off of all high quality acquired customers to the Microsoft Adverting support team, enabling the long-term potential of each acquired lead and resulting in higher overall revenue per account
Leverage sales tools, maintain reporting accountabilities and utilize modern communication materials that provide analytics on what the customer is drawn to and how to pull the right levers in a sales conversation, for Bing Ads and for Microsoft
Demonstrate consistent sales excellence in opportunity creation, pipeline management and development, contact and conversion rates, account planning, and advertiser satisfaction
Apply a growth mindset to continuous capability development to hone skills needed to engage customers in digital transformation conversations
Native or Fluent German
Bing Ads Certification and Google Ad Words certification preferred
1-2+ years of strong sales / customer service relationship background; telephone experience preferred
Experience working with or selling digital / search advertising solutions preferred and experience selling other Microsoft Solutions a bonus
Familiarity with modern sales techniques and tools is a bonus, including experience from retail sales, corporate internships, or entrepreneurial programs
Strong analytical aptitude with desirable excel and pivot table proficiency
Passion for cloud technologies and changing the world
Passion for sales and technology as an enabler for a company’s growth
A self-starter with a track record of outstanding performance and achieving goals
Strong interpersonal communication skills with excellent phone conversation skills, attentive listening and superior writing skills
Achievement and success-driven personality, motivated by performance rewards for exceeding annual sales goals through strong cross business collaboration and relentless focus on the customer experience
4-year degree preferred
Solid time management skills and ability to work independently or under supervision with a high level of integrity on a global team
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications; Dynamics CRM or other CRM experience is a bonus
