  • Learn and use related publishing/scheduling platforms to post, moderate, and edit daily posts.

  • Schedule organic social content on Express’ social platforms.

  • Actively monitor social media accounts, and own engagement and relationship-building opportunities on all platforms.

  • Moderate conversation and user-generated content on owned social channels.

  • Work closely with 24/7 call center to route customer-service related questions and ensure they’re answered quickly.

  • Provide consumer feedback insights on social to help inform future social content.

  • Assist with weekly reporting to highlight community growth, top performing content and brand health across all social touchpoints.

  • Brainstorm social ideas; write across verticals.

  • Work with PR to identify content opportunities (both planned and in real-time) among bloggers and media sources in the fashion, accessories, and lifestyle categories.

  • Assist with weekly reporting.

  • Brainstorm opportunities to optimize efforts to yield more engagement and reach.

  • Utilize applicable learnings from competitors to inform and update the social strategy.

  • Maintain the brand’s social calendar and launch list.

  • Process invoices and social billing requests, and preparing the team for meetings.


  • Brainstorm editorial ideas; write across verticals.

  • Assist with story research, production, and additional reporting as needed.

  • Ensure consistency, relevancy, and accuracy across all messaging.

  • Work with PR to identify talent/influencers to feature.

  • Maintain the brand’s editorial calendar and launch list.

  • Process invoices and editorial billing requests, and preparing the team for meetings.

  • Assist with weekly reporting.

  • Utilize tagging structure/particular CIDs to tag all content appropriately for editorial reports.

  • Schedule editorial posts in Wordpress.

  • Brainstorm video ideas; write titles and descriptions for videos.

  • Upload videos to platforms (ie. YouTube, IG TV, etc)

Essential Requirements

  • Must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate (rising junior/senior) or graduate student

  • Journalism, Marketing, or Communications major preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively interact across business functions to deliver effective marketing programs.

  • Ability to identify and manage challenges and request required support in a timely manner.

  • Thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

  • Manage workflows with the ability to create effective and efficient processes.

  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback.

  • Possess a thirst for current social media trends, innovations and best practices.

  • Passion for understanding fashion and retail; ability to spot and leverage pop-culture and emerging trends that matter to our brand and consumer; skillful at storytelling.

  • Basic HTML and CMS skills.

  • Familiarity with metrics/stats and reporting (Omniture or Google Analytics).

  • Some experience working with third-party vendors in link swaps, joint-ventures, and syndication.

  • Familiarity and genuine interest in Express.
