This is a paid full-time internship under the supervision of the Senior Director, Communications. The duration of this internship is 10-12 weeks.

Assist in the development of social media content for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Create a variety of print and e-materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
Ensure adherence to corporate brand standards.
Conduct interviews and provide copywriting for National Church Residences materials, including initial drafts for publications including Living Our Values employee newsletter and other materials.
Take basic photographs to supplement the National Church Residences Communications photo gallery and social media.
Support event planning, logistics and implementation.
Conduct audit of corporate website housing locator (add and remove communities as necessary).
Organize and maintain global electronic images folders.
Support the efforts to keep the National Church Residences website updated.
Support media relations outreach for trade publications and Ohio publications through writing drafts of news releases, making pitch calls and supporting efforts to work with reporters to supply expert sources and information.
Perform other duties as required.
Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms
Working toward a college degree in a related field (e.g., English, Communications, or Public Relations)
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired.
An effective communicator, both written and oral
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts and internal staff members
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Must be willing to complete or assist with some minor tasks including electronic filing, shipping/mailing and running errands.
Must have enthusiasm for the National Church Residences' Mission and the senior population we serve
