FT Human Resource Specialist, Mon-Fri (Saturdays during winter season).
Recruitment and onboarding of 650+ employees annually.
Establish recruitment strategies to meet operational goals : online job postings, social media campaigns, paid advertisements, on/off site job fairs, development of workforce partnerships.
Work with Marketing Dept. to manage employment section of website and request promotional materials.
Maintain applicant tracking system and internal job posting process.
Assist management team with pre screening, interviewing and selection process.
Coordinate and conduct orientations for recent hires. Data entry into HRIS System to ensure accuracy and compliance with record keeping requirements.
Research comparative wage data and build compensation structures that are competitive within local region/industry.
Advise leadership relative to associate performance and change management, including: Performance evaluations, merit increase/wage adjustment, promotion/demotion, organizational structure and development of new positions.
Conduct Ceridian Self Service and Time Solutions training to educate staff on use of employee intranet, time approval and HRIS System.
Function as a liaison between employees and Corporate HR/Payroll by answering questions and resolving concerns.
Provide training on company regulations and labor law. Monitor day-to-day implementation of policies.
Develop organized, methodical processes to increase departmental functionality: consistent communication with management and associates, employee handbook revisions, establishing 'best practices' and assisting with improvement of Resort operations.
Serve as an employee relations rep. who embraces company mission to CARE.
Direct employee recognition and reward programs.
Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
Respond to employee complaints, conduct internal investigations, including harassment and discrimination.
Assist management with company procedures relative to corrective counseling and termination.
Complete unemployment paperwork and represent resort at hearings.
Administer worker's compensation program including collection of documentation, claim tracking/follow up and OSHA reporting.
Contribute information, analysis, assign responsibilities to team members and make recommendations for strategic planning.
Provide working leadership for the Resort Human Resources Team and Internship Program.
Prepare budget and request approval for purchases to ensure operating costs are within forecasted guidelines.
Conduct and attend meetings.
Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
Ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.
Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law.
Able to organize and prioritize work.

Must have own vehicle.
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.
3 to 5 years experience in Human Resources on a professional level required.
Background in Federal and NYS employment law and other government compliance regulations preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
50% of the daily time is spent sitting at a desk/50% is spent walking through the facility.
