The Role:

Overseeing multiple live music venues, the Live Nation Venue Sales department in Chicago, IL is comprised of the Senior Director of Venue Sales, Director of Venue Sales, Sales Manager, and Sales Coordinators. The Venue Sales team is responsible for generating ticket revenue from VIP season tickets, one-offs, hospitality events, and other revenue-generating programs as added to portfolio of menu items to sell. Packages and inventory will be specific to assigned venue(s). Internship available for College Credit only.

Areas you will be learning about:

  • Generating leads and promoting the VIP program at venues

  • Day of Show event preparation

  • Social media marketing i.e. planning the social media calendar, original content creation, acquiring followers across all social platforms, etc.

  • Maintenance of client relationships

  • Monthly processing of client event planning and execution through venue activations

  • Client email database and communication and via Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to receive academic credit from their college or university prior to starting assignment

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress required

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Strong communication skills

  • High energy

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to multi task

  • Creativity

  • Highly organized

  • Commitment to excellence

  • Positive attitude

  • Computer proficiency: Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Well versed in social media i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

  • Must have a reliable car to use for transportation to venues - Public transit can be used for office days. This internship is for college credit and runs for the duration of the term you will receive credit. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours (minimum 20 per week) to reflect the need of your college credit requirements.

This position requires at least 20 hours dedicated per week. These hours can be completed Monday through Friday between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm or separated among show days for that week. We are flexible and can work with your class schedule if taking other summer classes. We require evening and weekend availability.
