Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively develops internships and job leads for our Arrupe Students

  • Actively develops organizational relationships and pipeline structures that will lead to jobs for our Arrupe students.

  • Works with the Arrupe Dean and advisory board, faculty and staff on the development of work-related opportunities for Arrupe students.

  • Works with the Arrupe Offices of Students Services and College Placement on student outreach, programming and career related activities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact between Employers/Recruiters and Arrupe students in the 2-year program and those graduating from the 2 years program for career and job placement

  • Works closely with the Career Development Center, Business Career Services, Student Employment/Federal Work-Study Staff to organize programming to encourage career-discernment for Arrupe students including hosting panels of young professionals of color, collaborative programming on various career readiness issues particularly those employer seek most.

  • Works closely with the Career Development Staff on the development and execution of programs that develop career-readiness skills for Arrupe Students; (resume preparation, LinkedIn accounts, interviewing skills, successful job search strategies)

  • Responsible for regular reporting and monitoring of student placement as well as employer engagement;

  • Supports CDC and BCS marketing and outreach initiatives;

  • Works with Assistant Director of Employer Relations/Student Employment Manager to encourage employers to recruit current students for part-time jobs.

  • Develops Arrupe specific category within the RamblerLink database for students to access. Contribute to the various social media channels currently used to engage employers and students in job-related connections.

  • Attends job fairs and other recruiting events as a representative for Arrupe students and alumni and as a member of CDC staff

-Works closely with other members of the Employer Relations Team to share contacts, strategy and CRM.

  • Conducts individual and group sessions to inform students of services, Policies, and procedures and to provide assistance in resume preparation and interviewing techniques.

  • Collaborates with Employer Relations team and Employer Operations Team to share and promote job and internship opportunities and student referrals to prospective employers.

  • Attends student organization, career fairs and college events, including new student orientation, as necessary (may include nights and weekends).

  • Coordinate recruitment activities aligned with National Association of Colleges and Recruiter best practices

  • Curates information on relevant events, conferences and programs that inform Arrupe students and alumni of opportunities that aid their job search for use via social media and mass communications

-Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred. Two to three years of related experience required.


  • Masters degree in related field
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in students services, diversity recruiting, admissions, job placement or job recruiting or talent acquisition and/or sales-related work;
  • Ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse and high need student population
  • Familiarity with career assessments (i.e. MBTI)
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity and social justice
  • The candidate should possess superior writing, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative group processes that gather the input of professionals, faculty members, and key college administrators, all within a professional setting
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed
  • Familiarity with international and undocumented college student issues and trends
  • Experience planning and executing projects and programming



Computer Skills

-Knowledge university-based student data management system. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and email applications; - Knowledgeable of recruitment database utilization. – Experience with a CRM software a plus
