Engineering Interns will work directly with the Director of Technical Operations to accomplish department goals. While learning project management and deployment, skills will be acquired in documentation implementation and retention, digital conversions, and SOX legal requirements. In addition, students will gain experience installing and testing facilities and equipment through observation of existing water & cooling systems of broadcast equipment, audio circuit troubleshooting, as well as general IT and networking up to and including transmission links that are IP based by helping to design improvements in efficiency and implementing alternative methods of service provision at time of service failure. Finally, interns will assist in management of FCC requirements and mock compliance testing.
