WESTERN STATES ENVELOPE & LABEL Human Resources Generalist in BUTLER, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist is an integral position within Western States! This position will give you the opportunity to have your hands-on benefits and payroll processing, recruiting, employee and labor relations, an HRIS upgrade (to Ceridian Dayforce) and eventual responsibility for a separate but nearby WSEL location. This position is primarily located in our Butler, WI facility. POSITION ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Benefits & Payroll Processing Process new employee, status changes and terminations in the benefit system Administer COBRA process, send paperwork, prepare invoices and track payments Review, audit and process payment of insurance provider invoices Answer and investigate employee benefit questions, as well as work with providers Eventually be trained as a back-up to process various bi-weekly payrolls Workforce Planning/Recruiting Coordinate recruiting activities including placing/posting ads, social media outreach, sending correspondence, conducting assessments with applicants, setting up/conducting interviews and attending career fairs and community referral source activities Create and update job descriptions Assist with community and school outreach programs Other key HR responsibilities Assist in supporting (eventually providing) HR services for a separate location Plan and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding actions Prepare materials for training classes / maintain training records Assist in maintain Safety & Health records including supporting Safe Workplace and Workers Compensation actions/initiatives as needed Assist in employee engagement activities and be an Employee Advocate Participate as a key team member in our HRIS upgrade to Ceridian Dayforce. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Position Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field; or, the equivalent of at least 4 years of related work experience and high school degree or GED.
