We have several projects in which we could mentor and benefit from an Intern: helping members of our Story Continuity sub-group scan scripts, manuscripts, outlines, and underlying game design documents, for continuity and indexing as necessary; inputting whiteboard timeline sketches into working Bluescape maps; organizing a library of current publishing content for Story Group access; reading and evaluating incoming writing sample and manuscript submissions and writing coverage. Depending on the candidate selected, we may have the intern work across several projects concurrently, or focus on one or two.
The Lucasfilm Story Group oversees the development and management of story across live-action feature films, television animation, games, publishing, and interactive experiences. The group also administers story continuity inside the Star Wars universe across various media, and curates transmedia experiences for consumers year-round and to coincide with feature film, television, and interactive events.
Responsibilities : Lucasfilm is currently seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and trustworthy interns for its Story Group Internship Program. Responsibilities include scanning and evaluating transmedia material for continuity, imputing continuity data into relational databases, reading and evaluating incoming writing samples and manuscript submissions, and light office support – phones/desks - when needed. This internship is a great introduction to the world of story development and management, and interns will have an invaluable opportunity to interact with execs in our department on future and active projects across various media.
Basic Qualifications :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities.
Strong time management skills; Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Proven ability to work autonomously and in team settings with a positive, pro-active attitude.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preferred candidates will have an interest in film development, screenwriting, or transmedia creation, and demonstrate a creative sensibility.
A strong knowledge and appreciation of the Star Wars galaxy, including the films, animated series, games, and books, is preferred.
Strong writing, fact-checking and proofreading skills are ideal.

Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability
Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2019 - August/September 2019. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
