As an intern with the Digital Media design team, you will work with the team to design the interfaces and experiences of our digital products through a combination of user interface design, interactive motion graphics, prototypes and motion studies. In this cross-platform position you will create industry-leading apps for mobile, OTT, web and emerging platforms. Our ideal candidate is highly creative, energetic and deeply knowledgeable about the latest design trends and technologies.
Responsibilities : The Visual Design Intern works closely with the design, product and PMO teams on cross platform digital products for web, mobile and over the top box units. This person is responsible for rapid visual concepts and high fidelity visual design – while staying true to the world-class quality of each brand. Work should be pixel perfect when delivering comps and guides to the development team.
Basic Qualifications :
Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of experience designing for digital platforms (school projects and previous internship work are considered).
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and UI best practices across multiple platforms (web, iOS, Android, etc.).
Experience with responsive design and mobile applications.
Experience with Sketch design application.
Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Self-motivated, problem solver with ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills.

Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with the Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) brands and content.
Experience with over the top UI (Roku, Xbox, Apple TV).
Experience within an Agile delivery team to iteratively plan and develop products.
Keynote and/or Powerpoint skills.
Zeplin for style guides.
Experience with rapid prototyping applications.
Required Education :
Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent graduate (within 6 months of the internship start date) pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Visual Design, Interaction Design, User Experience/User Interface Design, or related design field.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Additional Information :
At least 18 years of age
Unrestricted work authorization
Available to work full-time (maximum of 40 hours/week) in Fall 2018 (August - December).
All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation. Position is located in Burbank, CA.
Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a college/university taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program, or recently graduated within six months at time of application
