Estimated travels

15% -At least one store check per month, according to the needs: participation in the category dedicated workshops/meetings with customers.

Local Commercial Activation

  • Assists in development of shopper marketing programs:Retail Environment Innovation and Customer Collaborationbased oninsights.

  • Supports implementation of thecategory activity grid and new product Go to Marketfor the subsidiary that is developed by Consumer Marketing Hub.

  • Preparespresentations and tools(5P’s communication tools, trade stories, New Product activation programs, etc) to Customer Development Team to execute the plans.

  • Supports creation of tools, merchandising materials and in-store programs for effective shelf managementand for inducing shoppers to purchase Colgate products in-store for the category.

  • Is responsible for conductingpre and post analysis of promotions.

  • Conducts regulartrade visits to communicate findingsby category & brand for key customers.

  • Supports the area ofIn Store Management, including 5P’s communication to the Merchandisers and Field team, excellence in store execution and 5P’s monitoring.

  • Provides translations and approves the packaging art-works ensuring legal approvals

  • Assists in media copy (TV Commercial, digital, etc) translation and adaptation including legal approvals (for Romania)

Financial accountabilities

  • Supports achievement of the budgetedCategory & Brand Market Share, Margin growth / Positive Net Sales Price Increase for the category in the country.

  • Assists in management ofpromotional budget.

  • Follows guidelines regardingSKU simplification.

Budgeting & Colgate Business Planning (CBP)

  • Prepares analysis to input to the budgeting process regardingthe countrypromotion budget & Consumer Gross-to-Net spendingfor the category.

  • Participates in the monthly discipline for a particular category, based on the CBP commercial process


  • Acting in accordance with “Competition Law”, “Rules of the Roads” and “Commercial Selling Principles”

  • Follows the other requests of the supervisor within the area of responsibilities

Range of Qualifications

Describes the formal education, experience, technical skills required to successfully perform the generic job

Level of Education: College / University

Years of Experience (range): 2-3 years

Functional Experience and Technical Skills:

  • General Consumer marketing knowledge gained during study or internship

  • Understanding of the commercial perspective to be able to cooperate with Customer Development Team

  • Strong analytical skills to be able to prepare analysis using tools like MS Excel, Nielsen, pricing reports, etc

  • Able to build good relationship w/ Customer Development Team and Marketing to participate in implementation of the Mkt strategies from the Hub, to adapt the activity grid and achieve the business objectives

  • Good communication skills to provide inputs during the monthly commercial process and the marketing activity grid

  • Preferably -knowledge on the tools how to get insights

  • Preferably -Financial knowledge (P&L) to recommend initiatives that brings financial results and understanding the impact on the business and ROI
