Reporting to the Executive Director of Center for Professional Career Development and Alumni Services, the Senior Associate of Alumni Engagement is responsible for building alumni relationships and creating engagement opportunities for alumni in response to requests and needs received from departments and programs across the University.
Establish a system for receiving and responding to colleague requests from across the university seeking to utilize alumni as career success resources, professional development role models, testimonials and marketing, and as career/industry information resources; track these services and outcomes as part of department and institutional goals and mission. Implement a tracking and recognition system for alumni who are recruited to engage with or serve the university; create a tiered recognition system for repeat service; coordinate collected data with University Advancement staff and systems; contribute to annual reports on alumni giving gifts-in-kind; document impact of alumni engagement on the goals of development and University Advancement. Collaborate with Center for Professional Career Development to facilitate employer relations for jobs and internships through alumni at employer site visits; informational programming; shadow programs; and recruitment opportunities; coordinate assessment of alumni engagement on career readiness and employability goals. Develop a service relationship with academic deans and faculty, on all campuses, to identify engagement opportunities for alumni that compliment and support professional development through the curriculum and co-curricular activities; advise and assist on alumni recruitment efforts for specific academic program needs (mentor programs, business plan competition, internship placements); provide appreciation gifts for appropriate alumni volunteers; maintain records of alumni engagement with academic programs. Lead the development and outcome of the Alumni Ambassador program for all academic departments; recruit alumni as Ambassadors according to degree program; educate and direct Ambassador efforts to achieve annual goals; record and report outcomes to appropriate deans/faculty and University Advancement Promote alumni recruitment services to student organizations, on all campuses, in collaboration with Center for Professional Career Development staff assignments with student organizations; increase re-engagement of alumni with organizations from their student years; work with Student Affairs to add student leadership/organization history to alumni records following graduation; pursue affinity groups of students and alumni according to student organization affiliations. Manage the MPCHS Alumni Chapter and Regional Outreach program to build alumni engagement outside of New England with priority targets on regional origin of current students and regional concentration of current alumni; collaborate and exchange information with University Advancement, Center for Professional Career Development, Admission, faculty and deans; identify chapter/regional opportunities to increase alumni engagement, update of contact and employment information, and distribution of approved MCPHS news and announcements to increase alumni response to university calls for action. Through the Student-to-Alumni Transition program, establish a spirit of life-long community and engagement for young alumni; present a 12-month transition program in collaboration with Center for Professional Career Development, Alumni Career Services, Center for Campus Life, external content experts, and the graduating class leadership. Demonstrate the impact of investing in services and programs to build new graduate and alumni engagement on the goals and missions of the department, University Advancement, and MCPHS University. Work 2 - 3 days/month at the Worcester campus in the AS-CPCD office. Recruit and manage student staff. Participate in the update and management of University Advancement alumni database. Collaborate with Digital Engagement and Communications Associate, Communications Associate, and Digital Content and Social Media Coordinator on communications with alumni.

Required: Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to higher education administration, volunteer recruitment and management, program/event management Two years of proven success recruiting and running a volunteer board or committee, building effective teams, producing and executing strategic plans with measurable outcomes, and demonstrated success in project management Proven competency with Excel, PPT, Social Media platforms, report writing Techniques and tools to effectively manage multiple tasks, communicate with project teams with varying position levels, responsibilities, and geographic accessibility Familiarity with online meeting software and shared editing tools Highly successful interpersonal communication skills; strong writing skills Ability to commute to and work 2-3 days per month at the Worcester campus AS-CPCD Ability to negotiate, problem-solve, and meet goals within deadlines and budget Ability to be adaptable, composed under pressure, innovative, and highly self-motivated
