The Whirlpool Leadership Development Program centers on meaningful and challenging roles. As an HRLDP Intern, you can expect to gain experience in one of our HR Centers of Excellence, within our HR Operations team, or supporting a direct business unit. During the 12-week internship, you will work individually and with teams on projects that will leverage your prior work experience and also stretch your skills in new areas. You will also have access to learning and development opportunities throughout the summer, both with fellow HR interns and with interns across the organization. Additionally, you will be paired with a peer mentor who will be dedicated to helping you navigate Whirlpool’s organization and culture.
To succeed in this program, you will need the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
Progress in MBA or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor and Industrial Relations, or related area with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and an anticpated completion date in 2020
3-5 years of relevant work experience in Consulting, Strategy, Human Resources or other field of Business.
Proven leadership ability
Global mindset to thrive in a diverse culture and environment
Outstanding interpersonal, communications, coaching, and relationship management skills
Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems using data
Strong project management skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on a create strategy, build followership and drive differentiated results
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and changing environment
