The Consumer and Appliance Care organization is responsible for the life-cycle management of all service parts and accessories launched in tandem with our major appliance products. This is a dynamic business that also fulfills a critical role for our consumers given we are a durable goods company whose products remain a part of consumers’ lives for many years. This is a great opportunity for a supply chain professional to grow in a high-impact role and gain experience in one of the most foundational business processes: forecasting.
Business lead and process captain for all forecasting and planning functions for our multi-million dollar service parts and accessories business. Responsible for managing our complete demand signal for 1000+ suppliers and 60,000+ stock keeping units to drive high product availability at best cost. Maintains oversight and accuracy of key data parameters within our instance of Service Parts Planning; monitors system selection of appropriate forecast methodologies based on time-series analytics, component failures, and collaborative go-to-market planning. A critical member of the service parts value stream; collaborates with inventory management and warehouse operations in support of tactical problem-solving and strategic initiatives. Serves as a key voice of reason and insight within our Sales & Operations Business Team; influential to business decision-making as it relates to financial outlooks, risks, and upside opportunities. Owns critical-to-quality performance metrics of forecast accuracy and bias; uses data to drive cross-functional action and resolve issues affecting both end consumers and business-to-business customers. Executes and drives continuous improvement actions within our forecasting processes. Conducts exception reporting and analytics to highlight at-risk stock keeping units and drives corrective and responsive actions throughout the business team. Maintains and refines standard work and process documentation within demand planning and forecasting management operating systems.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
College Internship or 2+ years of experience within a supply chain role; demand planning, forecasting, or material planning
Proficient in computing skills
Strong analytical skills
Critical thinking and problem solving
Demonstrated analytical expertise, particularly in time-series analytics, trends, and forecasting
Business acumen with demonstrated experience in Sales & Operations Planning and associated risks & trade-off decision-making
Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques
Demonstrated proficiency with the use of Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Material Requirements Planning systems, such as SAP, Oracle, JDA
Demonstrated emotional intelligence and leadership experience would be differentiators
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit of winning, and demonstrate effective contributions in a team environment
