This is a paid part-time position, and the timeframe for this position is August – December 2018, in our Battle Creek, MI location.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Visual Design: Ensuring visual designs communicate the desired Corporate Communications and Executive Leadership messaging for internal and external presentations including; employee meetings, speaking engagements, board and committee meetings and investor meetings. You’ll also review and provide feedback on concepts, layouts, proofs and photography.

Use Your Creativity: Providing creative input and producing high-quality work for a variety of communications through various media, including Web, meeting decks, videos, printed publications and other identity materials for a variety of clients and audiences. You’ll also serve as global resource to support the company’s Area businesses to meet master brand and employer brand guidelines. And did we mention we have lots of snacks?

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a Graphics related Bachelor’s degree (i.e. undergraduate degree with an emphasis on Graphics Design at an accredited college or university).

  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

  • Must live within a commutable distance to the work location

  • Minimum of 2.7 GPA (Cumulative)

  • Available for an assignment from August - December, 2018

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and PowerPoint.

  • Foundational communication and project-management skills.

  • Ability to manage issues and identify appropriate solutions. Able to meet tight deadlines and to juggle multiple priorities, while in a fast-paced, often pressured environment.

  • Ability to work well and partner with all levels of employees and customers.

  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude and ability to provide excellent client service.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture, while also being able to manage projects from development to completion.

  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Flash, HTML and Fireworks.

  • Experience designing for social media.
