CooperStandard Talent Acquisition Director in Auburn Hills, Michigan

_Position Summary:_

The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing, planning and driving all aspects of a global talent acquisition strategy for Cooper Standard. This includes branding, sourcing, assessment, selection, offer process, onboarding and the candidate/hiring manager experience.

_Primary Responsibilities:_

  • Develop and drive a global Talent Acquisition strategy for Cooper Standard.

  • Build and lead a highly efficient and customer-focused center of excellence (CoE) for Talent Acquisition and provide leadership for regional talent acquisition teams who are business knowledgeable, proactive, responsive and client-focused.

  • Ensure consistency in recruitment and selection strategies and practices across the globe in alignment with the Global TA Strategy.

  • Develop and implement processes for attracting, assessing and selecting talent. Develop effective working relationships and partner with business and HR leaders throughout the company to identify talent gaps and develop strategies to create robust pipelines of diverse talent.

  • Implement, measure and monitor metrics that impact Cooper Standard’s talent acquisition strategies. Analyze trends to identify and solve potential issues.

  • Partner with Corporate Marketing and Communications to develop and lead employment brand initiatives and implement campaigns utilizing appropriate technology and media.

  • Continuously monitor effectiveness of onboarding program; develop and implement improvements in line with business needs and industry benchmarks.

  • Deliver an extraordinary candidate and hiring manager experience.

  • Establish and manage relationships with Talent Acquisition vendors.

  • Responsible for University Relations Programs to lead internship program for the US

  • Stay abreast of employment trends affecting the recruitment function and current employment legislation and policies.

_Education and Qualifications:_

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive talent acquisition experience in a customer-focused and services organization

  • Prior leadership experience with direct and matrixed leadership responsibility. Proven experience managing and leading teams with a strong focus on operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization; problem solving and proactive service orientation.

  • Persuasive communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills and networking skills

  • Strategic thinker able to design creative differentiating strategies to attract highly qualified candidates

  • Strong sense of urgency, high degree of initiative, and the ability to lead and/or participate in cross-functional and cross-regional teams

  • Experience developing and executing employment branding strategies

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables

  • Global automotive or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems; experience leading an ATS implementation a plus
