Job Description

IBM is seeking the next generation of creative individuals with a hunger for innovation and a passion for marketing to join our 4 week IBM Marketing Summer Intern Immersion Program.

Marketing is leading the transformation to build cognitive businesses and create superior client experiences. It’s where strategic thinking, an agile mindset, and innovative digital technology are applied to create exceptional campaigns and customized client experiences - all fueled by data.

As an IBM Marketing Intern, you’ll work collaboratively, as part of a team, on a project that addresses a strategic IBM Marketing business challenge. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest data scientists, social media ninjas, and world class content developers in the industry all while making an impact on IBM’s global marketing strategy. In addition to the project, the internship includes educational, networking and social activities.

Interns projects can span all areas of Marketing from Marketing Analytics, Campaign Management, Paid and Programmatic Marketing, Event Management to Social Media Marketing.

Summer Intern positions are based in New York, NY or Raleigh, NC.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Currently a college freshman / rising sophomore eligible for full-time employment in 2022

  • English: fluent

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of marketing and digital marketing

  • Basic knowledge of problem solving and analytical skills

  • Basic knowledge of social media and building online communities

  • Basic knowledge of user-experience and design skills
